The cathedrals were designed such that you walk towards increasing light as you approach the altar.

This stained glass is over the interior entryway to Saint Vitus cathedral.
We had so much fun traveling together. Elena and Christopher were such good company and I enjoyed seeing Europe through their eyes as well as mine.
It was interesting to compare the gothic style to the baroque style that we saw in Austria. The themes were much darker and more violent.
We had to document the organ at each church we visited. We only wished we could hear them played.
Even when they got hot and tired, the kids remained kind, respectful and fun.
